Obituary
of C. H. "Chame" SHICK, published
in the 6 Dec 1900 issue of the Sumner Press (pg. 2?).
C.H. Shick, one of Lukin's excellent
citizens, died Thursday after an illness of several months. "Chame", as
he was familarly known, possessed a host of friends, and worthily so.
He was the largest man in Lukin, weighing over 300 pounds. His
excessive weight no doubt hastened his death, but when the summons came
he was ready. For many years he was the Lukin correspondent of the
Press, though not writing regularly. He will be greatly missed in the
community, his influence being for good. (Submitted by Linda Worstell.
