Notes of Gary Stoltz who has some copies of this picture in his posession, handed down by family members: The last name of the first two boys is Angle and not Angles. Perhaps this photo came from the Johnson family. The Charles Angle on the left is Charles Harrison Angle son of George W. and Rebecca (Hardwick) Angle. He was born 12/15/1882 in Rushville, OH and died 1/11/1940 in Petty twp., IL. Never married, Great-Uncle of Gary Stoltz. Boy in the center is Charles Harrison's cousin Charles Leonard Angle, the son of Jacob and Sarah Elizabeth (Bailey) Angle. He was born 10/27/1882. He married Myrtle Woodward and died after 1930 when in St. Louis, MO. Alva Johnson may have been the son of Eli and Margaret Johnson and born in OH abt. 1883. The family was living in Petty twp., IL in the 1900 census and were neighbors of the Angle cousins. - Gary Stoltz |
