Obituary of Sandra Sue ZELLERS, published 22 Feb 1980.
   Sandra Sue Zellers, 18, Robinson, died unexpectedly this morning at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
   She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Zellers, 804 S. Howard, Robinson; two brothers, Steven and Jim, both of Robinson and one sister, Linda Kay Smith, Johnson City; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Zellers, Annapolis and Mrs. Dorothy Skidmore, Robinson; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; one niece and two nephews.
   Funeral arrangements are pending at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Robinson.

Obituary of Sandra Sue ZELLERS, published 23 Feb 1980.
   Funeral services for Sandra Sue Zellers, 18, Robinson, who died unexpectedly Friday morning in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Robinson, with burial in the new Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Sunday.
   Miss Zellers was a player on the volleyball team and basketball team at Robinson High School and was a member of Beta Club and a member of the News 'N Everything staff. She was a mid-term graduate of the class of 1980.
   The family suggests, for those who wish, that honorariums be made to the Heart Fund.

Obituary of Oscar LINDLEY, published 23 Feb 1980.
   Oscar H. Lindley, 68, Grayville, formerly of Robinson, died at 9 p.m. Friday at Wabash General Hospital, Mt. Carmel. He was born Sept. 28, 1911 in Crawford County, son of the late Lawrence and Estella Abel Lindley. He was married Oct. 31, 1932 to Bonneva Lingafelter. He was a member of the Sheba Lodge No. 200 and Sheba Chapter No. 722 O.E.S., both of Grayville and a member of the Consistory at Bloomington.
   Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Linda Lou) Penn, New Town; several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Grayville, with Rev. John Sims officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Grayville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m.

Obituary of Waldo ACORD, published 23 Feb 1980.
   Word has been received here of the death of Waldo Acord, 74, Boone Grove, Ind., Friday night following an extended illness.
   He is survived by his wife, Ruth; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Fuller, Mrs. Essie Love and Mrs. Marjorie Bowen, all of Robinson, and Mrs. Nellie Blair, Sterling; a brother Charles Roberts, West Union; several nieces and nephews.
   Services and burial will be in Boone Grove, Indiana.

Obituary of Donald L. TAYLOR, published on 3 Nov 1980.
   Donald L. Taylor, 72, Lincoln, formerly of Oblong, died at 3:07 p.m. Sunday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
   Born January 9, 1908 in Coles County, son of Howard and Grace Rankin Taylor, he was married June 28, 1931, at Oakwood, to Lucille V. Liggett, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Virginia Williams, Lincoln, and Donna Winn, Ft. Collins, Colo.; a brother, Richard Taylor, Mattoon; a sister, Dorothy Dempsey, Bethany; and six grandchildren.
   Mr. Taylor was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Oblong, Bloomington Consistory, __hite Shrine of Lincoln, National Retired Teachers Association, Retired Teachers of DeWitt and Logan counties, and local and National Retired Persons.
   He taught 40 years at Oblong and Eldorado High Schools, a year in Manteca, Calif., and was superintendent of Beason High School in Beason, retiring in 1970.
   Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Paul Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery at Oakwood.
   Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic services will follow at 8 p.m.
   The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Beason United Methodist Church.

Obituary of Chester O. RICH, published 4 Nov 1980.
   Chester O. Rich, 69, Flat Rock, died Monday morning at Crawford Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
   Retired from Marathon after 35 years service, he was a member of South Union United Methodist Church and Flat Rock Masonic Lodge No. 348.
   Surviving are his wife Martha; two sons, Billy Wayne Rich, Flat Rock, and Jeffery Rich, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Nancy) Clay, Mrs. Wayne (Alice Ann) Tennyson, and Mrs. Earl (Peggy) Garrard, all of Flat Rock; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, O.J. Rich, Flat Rock; and two sisters, Chloe Weger, Birds, and Edith Butcher, Flat Rock.
   Mr. Rich was predeceased by his parents, Isaiah and Tyrena Parker Rich; a brother, William Rich; and three sisters, Bessie Weger, Lotus Midgett, Lottie Butcher; and a daughter, Christine Rich.
   Funeral services will be conducted at South Union Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Dick Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Tohill Cemetery.
   Friends may call at Goodwine-Bond Funeral Home, Flat Rock, from 2 to 9 p.m. today and until time of service Wednesday.
   Masonic services will be held by Flat Rock Masonic Lodge No. 348 at 7 p.m. tonight. The family suggests that honorariums be made to the South Union Methodist Church.

Obituary of Beulah F. (CONNETT) SHIPMAN, published 4 Nov 1980.
   Beulah F. Shipman, 73, Oblong, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday at Crawford Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born March 23, 1907 in Oblong Township and was a member of Eastern Star and Rainbow Circle of Central United Methodist Church.
   Surviving are two brothers, Bernal Connett, Robinson, and Pete Connett, Lawrenceville; a sister, Mrs. Theodore (Lavena) Grant, Oblong; 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, James and Lillie Good Connett, her husband, Fresco Shipman, in 1974, and four brothers.
   Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with Rev. Eugene Black officiating. Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
   Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

   Roy T. Pethtel, 62, Robinson, died Monday afternoon at Veteran's Administration Hospital, Danville, following an extended illness. He was a former Robinson city employee.
   Born in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Maude Mable Sparks Pethtel.
   Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; three sons; Roy Elmer Pethtel, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Billy Dean Pethtel, Oblong, and Jerry Wayne Pethtel, Robinson; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl and Glen Pethtel, both of Robinson; and a sister, Mrs. Omer (Vola) Jenkins, Robinson.
   Funeral services are pending at Buchanan Funeral Home, Robinson.

Obituary of Annie (CHELF) BUTLER, published 7 Nov 1980.
   Annie Butler, 82, formerly of Crawford County, died Thursday at Pompano Beach, Florida.
   She was the daughter of Bob and Mollie Chelf.
   Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Butler in February, 1973, she is survived by two daughters, Iris Butler, Pompano Beach, Fla.; and Mrs. Noble (Violet) Correll, Stewart, Fla.; and a sister, Cola Chelf Gardner, Campbellsville, Kentucky.
   Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Newlin Cemetery with Buchanan Funeral Home, Robinson in charge.

Obituary of Anna L. (SUMMERS) THOMAS, published 24 Jan 1981.
   Anna L. Thomas, 95, Robinson, died Friday afternoon at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Summers and Harriett Cord Henry and was the widow of James Stanley Thomas, who died in 1954.
   Mrs. Thomas was member of the First Presbyterian Church.
   She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Harriett and Robert Wilson, Robinson; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Judy and David Seligman, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and a great-granddaughter, Dawn Seligman. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul, in 1967.
   Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Home, Robinson, with Rev. Chester O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute, Ind. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   The family has suggested memorials by made to the First Presbyterian Church in Robinson or Cotillion Ridge Nursing and Retirement Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
